Eight national league basketball teams are on their way to Medway, all vying for national play-off glory.

England Basketball is staging four national league finals at Medway Park in Gillingham on Saturday, 14 April.

The exciting day of action will feature the climax of the Founders Cup and the Division Two Women and Division Three and Four Men’s competitions.

The event is being staged in partnership with Medway Council and the Medway Park Crusaders club.

Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community Services said: “We’re very proud to be hosting another national event at Medway Park, as part of a really exciting year for sport. It’s a great opportunity for Medway residents to see some of the best basketball teams in the country right playing right here on their doorstep.”

Club chairman Jesse Sazant said: “We are really proud as a club to be hosting our second England Basketball finals day. The support of Medway Council in developing Medway Park and supporting elite basketball has been instrumental in securing this prestigious event.”
